DL speed on LAPTOP: 1.41 Mbps Download/ 5.00 Mbps Upload. Model = Dell Inspiron 3531, no ethernet port. No disconnect and reconnect issues so far on linux. I recently migrated from windows where I didn't have problems with DL speed although on windows it would often disconnect and reconnect which makes me think hardware. This is a bummer as I really like linux mint otherwise. Today I realized my download speeds were slow on my laptop but much faster on my phone. My card is recognized it's just that the DL speed is super slow. I looked at this post: viewtopic.php?t=272234 with the same wifi card as me but their problem was different.
